A New Creation in Christ!

“I will put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the Lord.” (Ezekiel 37:6)

The Friendship Sunday School Class will start its spring quarter of study on March 1, 2009. We will explore Ezekiel, Luke, Acts, and Ephesians as we study ‘Becoming a New Creation. We will explore the promises of new life, the paths to new life, and the way of new life in Christ.

Please join us on March 1st in Christian Life Center, bring a friend and learn how we can way a new way of life with our savior, Jesus Christ. Books may be picked up at the Friendship Classroom on February 15th. If you have any questions call Joe Mayhew at 235 9303.

McGuirt Bible Class Selects the Book of Matthew

After an exciting and informative in-depth Bible study of the Acts of the Apostles, the McGuirt Bible Class has selected the four Gospels, beginning with the Book of Matthew, as their next study of the Bible in the New Testament.
The special emphasis of Matthew is that Jesus is the Messiah foretold by Old Testament Prophets. Matthew quotes from the Old Testament repeatedly. Such frequent use of the term “Kingdom of Heaven” occurs, that this Gospel is commonly called the Gospel of the Kingdom. The sayings of Jesus are in abundance, specially the Sermon on the Mount and those telling about His coming and the End of the World.

If you are interested in serious Bible study which is taught in depth, verse by verse, each Sunday by Dr. Charles B. Nunn, our teacher, we invite you to the McGuirt Bible Class at 10 a.m.

Adult Sunday School
Most adult classes meet in the new Christian Life Center

• Joy! Good News Class - For adults of all ages to study the scriptures with the aid of Bible commentaries in order to acquire excellent Biblical comprehension and lively discussions.

• Friendship Sunday School Class - For adults of all ages to study God's word to better understand His will and apply it to their lives, so that they may become disciples of Christ. 

• Discovery Casual Discussion Class - For younger couples and singles using a variety of lesson materials covering many topics, especially the Bible and it's application to everyday life. We also meet at other times to enjoy social activities.

• Faith Connections - For young couples and singles. This class is facilitated by Chris Pearce and Gail Friedman.

• W-IN-G-S (Women in God's Service) - All ages welcome!

• McGuirt Bible Study Class - A co-ed class, named in honor of Reverend McGuirt.

Adult Study Groups:

• Know Your Church Orientation Class - For new members, prospective members, and interested persons to learn more about Methodism, St. Paul's Waccamaw and being a church member. Taught by the pastor. 4 to 6 weeks of classes each quarter.
