Methodist Overview

• Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ: God invites every human being into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

• Growing in the Image of Christ: Followers of Jesus grow spiritually in the image of Jesus. Some of the "methods" we use (where the name "Methodist" comes from!) to experience that spiritual growth are the Biblical principles of prayer, fasting, Bible study, giving, worship, fellowship, communion, and service.

• Grace, Salvation, new life, Jesus, the Holy Spirit: These are all gifts of God's grace. We do not earn them nor deserve them. They are God's gift to believers.

• Serving Beyond the Walls of the Church: St. Paul's Waccamaw UMC places a strong emphasis on our community and global ministries, which reach out into the world to serve all in the name of Jesus Christ.
