A light supper will be served by the hostesses.

Featured Speaker:
Mr. Arthur Spriggs, director of SC Camps and Retreat Ministries for the United Methodist Church
will present information about camp and retreat experiences available at 
Asbury Hills and Sewee Coastal Retreat Center

Special emphasis will be opportunities for our young people at Summer Camp at Asbury Hills:
Elementary---2nd-5th Grades, Jr. High----6th-8th grades, and Sr. High--9th-12th grades.

The UMW plans to offer scholarships as appropriate to some campers.

2012 UMW Reading Program

Twenty-six women have signed up to be part of the UMW's Reading Program for 2012! For 140 years, members of the UMW have been involved in mission that includes prayer, study and action. The Reading Program is a study opportunity for all. Plan I of the Program asks participants to read 5 books a year, in 5 different categories: Education for Mission, Leadership Development, Nurturing for Community, Social Action and Spiritual Growth. The St. Paul's Book Club will be reviewing 4 of these books on the following dates:

  • FEBRUARY 20 - The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot (Nurturing for Community)
  • APRIL 16 - The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by William Kamkwamba (Leadership Development)
  • JUNE 18 - It's Easier to Reach Heaven than the End of the Street by Emma Williams (Ed. for Mission)
  • SEPTEMBER 17 - The Noticer by Andy Andrews (Spiritual Growth)

All are welcome to attend these meetings which are on Mondays from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
